Omaha sets its sights on topping out rejections

SONAR Key Market Insights - Omaha, Nebraska

Highlights

Omaha, Nebraska, spent most of 2025 as a market with higher-than-normal outbound tender rejection rates. A trend that seems to be continuing in 2026, as rejection rates climb 3.6%.

Outbound tender volume rates, in addition to increasing rejection rates is creating a tightening market for capacity as there is upward pressure on spot rates.

Anytime a market has an OTRI above 15%, there is inflationary pressure in the market. Seeing as how Omaha has a 24.47% rejection rate, there is absolutely a sign that there is significant inflationary pressure on spot rates.

Quotable

“AGX FREIGHT is not in default, and we categorically disagree with the lender’s position as it relates to the Company. We have sufficient working capital on our balance sheet to fund operations, pay employees, agents, and carriers, and continue delivering value for our customers. The issue is not liquidity — it is accessibility.”

— Mike Williams, president of AGX Freight
